Kickboxing Fight of the Century Announced, Rodtang Faces Takeru

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – One Championship has announced a big match between two icons of the kickboxing world, Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Takeru Segawa.

Their match will be the headline of One 172 which will be held on March 23 2025 at the Saitama Super Arena, Tokyo, Japan. This fight is predicted to be the biggest kickboxing match of the century.

Rodtang, a former One flyweight muay Thai world champion, is known for his courageous fighting style and extraordinary endurance. Of his 17 striking matches at One, he has only suffered one defeat. Finally, he showed a dominant performance by defeating Denis Puric in the kickboxing event.

Having a record of hundreds of wins in muaythai and kickboxing, Rodtang has become the most recognized fighter from Thailand today. His fighting style, which remains unmoved even when receiving sharp attacks from opponents, has made his name skyrocket in various parts of the world.

Meanwhile, Takeru is a Japanese kickboxing legend who has won three K-1 titles in three different classes. This feat has never been achieved by any other fighter. Even though his One Championship debut ended in defeat to Superlek Kiatmoo9, Takeru bounced back with a knockout victory over Thant Zin at One Friday Fights 81 last September.

Victory over Rodtang will emphasize his name as a dangerous striker from Japan. Apart from the main match, this event will also feature battles rematch between former MMA flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes and Japanese star Yuya Wakamatsu for the unclaimed throne of MMA flyweight world champion.
