Kominfo Guarantees Smooth Internet During PON XXI, Present with 5G Support

On the other hand, Telkomsel supports the National Sports Week (PON XXI 2024) Aceh-North Sumatra by presenting a 5G network at 12 locations where this national sporting event is held.

Not only rolling out the 5G network, Telkomsel also improved the infrastructure and optimized the 4G network at 257 sites in all the main venues and supporting events.

Telkomsel also installed 14 mobile BTS units to provide high-speed connectivity experience for all participants in important locations. Starting from Harapan Bangsa Stadium Banda Aceh, Sumut Sport Center, athlete’s house, airport, lodging, media center and other strategic areas.

Telkomsel Network Director Indra Mardiatna said that Telkomsel is committed to being at the forefront in providing digital telecommunication solutions and services that can support various state, national and international events.

“All infrastructure readiness, including the presence of our 5G network at PON XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024 is presented to ensure smooth communication and the best digital experience for all participants,” said the man who is familiarly called Indram, quoted from Telkomsel’s statement, Sunday (8/9/2024).

Telkomsel hopes that internet service support, including 5G, can contribute to the success of the XXI PON and encourage wider use of the latest 5G technology for all customers and the community in Aceh and North Sumatra.
