Korean Military Tightens Law Compliance Education After BTS’s Suga Drunk Driving

The Korea Times noted that under the South Korean Road Traffic Act, drunk drivers with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or more are subject to imprisonment of between one and two years or a fine of between 5 million won ($3,659) and 10 million won.

However, for drunk drivers with an alcohol content of 0.2 percent or more, the law stipulates a heavier penalty, namely imprisonment of between two and five years, or a fine of between 10 million won and 20 million won.
