Amsterdam, Todaysgist.com – Dutch club Almere City expressed their pride in successfully recruiting Indonesian national team midfielder Thom Haye. The club’s technical manager Johan Hansma revealed the reason, on Friday (13/9/2024).

Thom Haye is contracted to Almere City until the summer of 2025.

Almere City gained financial momentum through the sales of Stije Resink to FC Groningen, and Sherel Floranus to PEC Zwolle. The club sees Thom Haye as an outstanding player in their fight against relegation.

“After the transfer deadline, we signed Anas Tahiri (a Belgian player) first. As a result, Resink’s replacement has come in, but we are still looking for an additional midfielder,” explained Johan Hansma.

He said that in Thom Haye they had found someone who could really strengthen the team’s performance. “We are proud of that. This is the next step for us as a club to collect transfer fees and reinvest them in selection,” said Johan Hansma.

Almere City also brought in two French strikers Ruben Providence (23) and Junior Kadile (21) for transfer fees.

For Almere City, Haye’s arrival is like killing two birds with one stone. Because the team can get a big quality increase and at the same time give a heavy blow to the opponent.

For Thom Haye this is a new opportunity waiting in the summer. “It’s a win-win situation,” said Almere.
