London Teams Battle of Strength

London, Todaysgist.com – Two London clubs, Aston Villa and Arsenal will clash in the 2nd week of the 2024/2025 Premier League. The Aston Villa vs Arsenal match will be held at Villa Park on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 23.30 WIB.

Both teams are determined to continue their fine form after winning their opening games of the season. Aston Villa won 2-1 at West Ham, while Arsenal won 2-0 over Wolverhampton at the Emirates Stadium.

It will be a tough game for Arsenal considering they were beaten twice by Villa last season. Arteta believes his team have learned a lot from those two defeats.

“About why we lost last season because they scored goals and we didn’t. In the two games we had a lot of chances to do that, and that was the big difference. There are other details that we have analyzed for sure, and we have to play better tomorrow because they are a very good team with a good coach,” Arteta said.

Arteta insisted his players were ready for the game. “We have prepared very well to understand what we have to do to go there and win the game,” he said.

Arteta could change his line-up for the game with Kai Havertz dropping into the middle of the park as he did in this game at the Emirates last season. The Spaniard will want to get as many runners in his team as possible given Villa’s tendency to defend aggressively.

From Aston Villa, coach Unai is likely to be without Emery Matty Cash who has been injured. However, the right-back is expected to be fit to play in the match. Ezri Konsa can be deployed on the right side if Cash is absent.

Boubacar Traore and Tyrone Mings are still recovering from long-term injuries. Emery could start Jhon Duran alongside Ollie Watkins.

Estimated Lineups
Aston Villa (4-2-3-1): Emiliano Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; Onana, Tielemans; Bailey, Rogers, McGinn; Watkins.

Arsenal (4-3-3): David Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli.
