Lost in the Quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Fajar/Rian: We Are Disappointed

Fajar/Rian came to the 2024 Paris Olympics with a number of championship titles already won, such as the 2023 and 2024 All England. However, Rian admitted that it was not easy to play in the world’s biggest sporting event every four years.

Moreover, this is Fajar/Rian’s first Olympics. “This first Olympics is not easy, we just felt the atmosphere. From the beginning it was not easy, we felt how tense it was when we entered the field,” said Rian.

Fajar/Rian try to be realistic about their chances of playing in the next Olympics. Because, their age is not easy anymore. Fajar is now 29 years old, while Rian is one year younger.

“Indeed, nothing is impossible, we could play in the next Olympics. But, we are realistic. We are not young anymore so we should be grateful to be able to play in this first Olympics,” Fajar concluded.
