Man City Return to Top of the Table After Drawing with Arsenal

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Manchester City drew 2-2 against Arsenal in the fifth week of the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium, Sunday (22/9/2023). This draw makes Man City return to the top of the Premier League standings.

This home result means that Man City is perched in first place in the Premier League standings, replacing Liverpool who had been leading after winning 3-0 over Bournemouth, Saturday (21/9/2024).

Man City are now sitting at the top with 13 points. They are one point ahead of Liverpool in second place. Meanwhile, Arsenal are in fourth place with 11 points.

Erling Haaland managed to put Man City ahead first. Arsenal turned the score around thanks to goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes. The goal that brought Man City to a draw was scored by John Stones at the end of the match.

Arsenal were reduced to 10 men after Leandro Trossard was sent off at the end of the first half.

In another match on Sunday (22/9/2024), Brighton and Hove Albion drew 2-2 against their guests Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest took the lead thanks to a penalty kick executed by Christopher Wood in the 13th minute.
