Man City vs Madrid Finish 4-0, The Citizens to the Champions League Final

– Manchester City have qualified for the 2022/2023 Champions League final. This certainty was achieved after Man City crushed Real Madrid 4-0 in the second leg of the Champions League semifinals at the Etihad, Thursday (18/5/2023) early morning WIB.

Bernardo Silva scored two of Man City’s four goals. Plus an own goal from Eder Militao and a goal by Julian Alvarez.

With this result Man City won 5-1 on aggregate and progressed to the Champions League final.

Course of the Match

From the early minutes City immediately surrounded the Madrid defense. The host really didn’t give a chance to Los Blancos to develop games.

City appeared dominant in the first half with 72% possession. Erling Haaland got two clean chances with headers in the 13th and 21st minutes which goalkeeper Courtois was able to save.

City’s deadlock was broken in the 23rd minute after Bernardo Silva’s left-footed shot from the center of the box nestled into the top right corner.
