Manchester City Slaughtered by Liverpool, Ruben Dias Angry at Journalists
Liverpool, Beritasatu.com – Manchester City defender Rúben Dias became angry with journalists after his team lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the 2024/2025 Premier League at Anfield Stadium, Sunday (1/12/2024) evening.
Ruben Dias, who was emotional after Man City lost four times in a row in the Premier League, shouted at a reporter and emphasized that his team was the defending champion who could overcome this problem.
Manchester City has never won in the last seven matches in all competitions. Each had six defeats and one 3-3 draw when they hosted Feyenoord in the Champions League.
In an interview for ViaplayTV after the match, former Premier League striker Jan Aage Fjortoft asked Ruben Dias how Man City’s players were responsible for their poor performance.
Dias, who was also involved in Liverpool’s second goal, didn’t seem happy with the question.
“Did you know that you were talking to one of the players from one of the teams that has won the most trophies in the world in recent years?” Dias said as quoted by ESPN.
“Think about that and make sure that we know how to deal with it,” continued Dias.
City have won six of the last seven Premier League titles, however, they are now fifth in the 2024 Premier League standings, outside the Champions League places. During this winless streak, City have conceded 19 goals.
“I won’t talk about small details, but focus on the bigger picture,” added the Portuguese player.
“Even though this is a difficult moment, I see a lot of character and I see the support of the fans behind us, and that is the only way we can get through it.”
Ruben Dias said “This is just part of our heritage. We’ve won so much and are still in this position, and this happens.”
“We have been able to be flexible, adapt and keep moving forward while thinking one game at a time. That’s what we need to do to get back on the right track,” said Ruben Dias after Manchester City lost to Liverpool.
