Mees Hilgers Can’t Wait to Experience Adventure with the Indonesian National Team
Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Dutch Eredivisie club FC Twente defender Mees Hilgers admitted that he has made up his mind to join the Indonesian National Team. The player who was born in Amersfoort, Netherlands on May 13, 2001 admitted that he can’t wait to defend the Garuda squad.
“I’m really looking forward to experiencing the adventure and am very curious about what it’s like to be there,” said Mees Hilgers as quoted from the official FC Twente website, Saturday (7/9/2024).
Mees Hilgers, who is currently undergoing the naturalization process to be able to immediately join the Garuda squad, admitted that he is proud of his choice.
“I’m very proud of this moment. I don’t really know how to describe the feeling,” he said.
Hilgers said he is originally from Indonesia and grew up in the Netherlands with an Indonesian family.
He said his decision to defend the Indonesian National Team received full support from his club and colleagues.
“My teammates at FC Twente were also very happy and congratulated me on my choice. It will be a great experience,” he added.
