Megawati Scores Highest Points, Red Sparks Wins Hands down in Korean Volleyball League

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Volleyball athlete from Indonesia, Megawati Hangestri, scored the highest point and led the Red Sparks to a 3-0 victory over IBK Altos (25-18, 25-14 and 25-21) in the South Korean Volleyball League’s 2024-2025 season.

Based on a report released on the official website of the Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO), Thursday (2/1/2025), Megawati was listed as the highest scorer with 18 points. This figure was the highest contribution in the match, ahead of IBK Altos player, Victoria, who was in second place with 12 points.

In that match, Megawati scored 17 points through effective attacks, beating her teammate, Bukitrich, who scored 14 points, and Seungju Pyo with six points.

Megawati’s extraordinary achievements with Red Sparks also placed her in the first position of the top three in the attack and success rate categories, with records of 36.9% and 54.84% respectively. He beat Bukitrich who recorded 30.95% and 53.85%, and Seungju Pyo with 14.29% and 50%.

Megawati’s victory with Red Sparks in the match which took place on Tuesday (31/12/2024) brought the team to collect a total of 34 points, bringing them closer to second place in the league standings. Red Sparks are now only seven points behind Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate who have 41 points as defending champions.

Meanwhile, the top position in the standings is still occupied by the Pink Spiders with 43 points, after successfully recovering from three consecutive defeats in the previous match.
