Member of Commission XIII DPR Reveals the Positive Influence of the Presence of Naturalized Players in the Indonesian National Team

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The role of naturalized players is considered very important in strengthening the Indonesian national team in various competitions, including qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

“The Indonesian national team, which used to be underestimated, is now starting to surprise many parties with increasingly solid performances. We hope that the presence of naturalized players like Kevin Diks can strengthen squad and increase our chances in qualifying events and even reach the 2026 World Cup,” said Faisal in his statement to the media.

Faisal also emphasized the importance of a naturalization process that complies with the rules, both in terms of FIFA regulations and national regulations.

“We ensure that the entire player naturalization process will be carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, so that it is in line with national policies and FIFA regulations,” he added.

Apart from that, Faisal, who is a member of the Democratic Party faction, also encouraged PSSI to continue to prioritize the best Indonesian talents who have careers abroad to help strengthen the national team.

“We are committed together with PSSI to invite Indonesian talents abroad to join and strengthen the Indonesian National Team. With this step, hopefully we can see Indonesia competing in the 2026 World Cup,” concluded Faisal.

It is known that PSSI and the DPR discussed the naturalization process for three players, namely Kevin Diks, Estella Loupattij and Noa Leatom, which took place at the DPR-MPR Building, Monday (4/11/2024).
