MrBeast and Amazon Stumble Over Beast Games Participant Exploitation Case, What Happened?

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta – World-famous YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast, is now facing serious legal problems.

Recently, MrBeast’s name was mentioned in court documents regarding the alleged exploitation of participants on the reality competition show, Beast Games.

According to reports Deadline(19/9/2024), Beast Games participants have filed a lawsuit against the production companies involved in the event, including MrB2024 and Amazon.

The event was previously announced in March, and will see 1,000 participants compete for a share of the Beast Games’ USD 5 million (Rp 76.4 billion) prize pool.

However, in a lawsuit filed on September 16 in a Los Angeles court, the participants stated they had not received payment and faced unsafe conditions during the filming process.

Furthermore, several participants also claimed that sexual harassment occurred during production.

Court documents say the company MrB2024 is “believed to be owned in whole or in part by MrBeast,” who also serves as host and executive producer of the Amazon Prime series.

The Beast Games series itself is planned to air in late 2024 or early 2025. Currently, neither MrBeast nor Amazon have made an official statement regarding the allegations made.
