MU Confirms Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Departure
Manchester, Beritasatu.com – Manchester United (MU) confirmed the departure of Ruud van Nistelrooy after becoming interim coach of the team nicknamed the Red Devils. The next coaching position was taken over by Ruben Amorim who has been officially appointed as permanent coach to replace Erik Ten Hag.
Previously, Nistelrooy joined MU coaching in July 2024 as assistant coach to Erik Ten Hag. However, MU’s disappointing performance caused the club to fire the Dutch coach.
MU then appointed Nistelrooy as interim coach. MU showed a signal of revival under Nistelrooy by packing three wins and one draw. MU and Nistelrooy showed tactical solidity and promising performances.
The 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday (10/11/2024) brought a sweet end to Nistelrooy’s coaching career at MU.
Ruud will always be a Manchester United legend. We thank him for his contribution and the way he carried out his role while with the club. He will always be welcome at Old Trafford,” said the club in an official statement.
