Never losing, Indonesia won 9 times in 10 matches against Laos

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The Indonesian national team will continue its action in the 2024 AFF Cup, Thursday (12/12/2024) by hosting Laos at the Mahahan Stadium, Solo, Central Java, starting at 20.00 WIB.

The Indonesian national team has a good record against Laos. In 10 meetings since 1969, Garuda, nicknamed the Indonesian National Team, has never lost nine or eight times. Garuda troops scored 45 goals in that series, which means an average of five goals per match.

The only match when the Garuda Team failed to beat Laos was in November 2012, when the two teams drew 2-2 in the AFF Cup.

Indonesian player Marselino Ferdinan admitted that he was actually still tired after playing his first match against Myanmar at the beginning of last week.

“We have gone through the match against Myanmar at home and returned from Myanmar. This is the first time I have made a trip like this, because for previous events we stayed at home in Jakarta. “So I myself feel tired, but still enthusiastic,” he said in a press conference session before the Indonesia vs Laos match at Manahan Stadium, Solo City, Central Java, Wednesday (11/12/2024).

Marselino admitted that being able to play at home makes the players enthusiastic and motivated to give their best. Although the majority of players in the 2024 AFF squad are still young and many have just made their first international debut.

“Playing at home makes us triggered again. “We have to give the best results, even though we are young players, our mindset and mentality must be good,” he said.
