Not Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim, This is Samsung’s Chosen Name for the Latest Foldable Screen Phone

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta – The latest rumor about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim is circulating on the internet again. This time, the latest leak discusses the name that the device will use.

Based on information from leakster Evan Bless, as quoted from GSM ArenaThursday (29/8/2024), Samsung is said to not use the name Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim when this device is released, but rather the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Reportedly, the device will have a 6.5-inch outer screen, while the main screen will be 8 inches. The device is said to be 4.9mm thick when unfolded, and 10.6mm when folded.

The size is said to be smaller compared to the size of Samsung’s current foldable screen phones, including the regular Galaxy Z Fold6. However, the size cannot match other foldable screen devices such as the Honor Magic V3 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 4.

However, the latest leaks say that the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition is only available in South Korea and China. Although there is a possibility, this device will also be introduced for the global market.

Reportedly, the Galaxy Z Fold SE will be introduced in South Korea in September 2024. Meanwhile, for the Chinese market, this smartphone will be available in October 2024.

Previously, rumors surrounding the presence of this smartphone had indeed been circulating. It was said that this foldable cellphone would have a slimmer design and a larger screen, compared to the standard Galaxy Z Fold6.

According to a report by The Elec, Samsung is currently in the final stages of deciding whether the device will use stainless steel or titanium on the back plate of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim.

If true, this would be the first time Samsung has applied the material to a foldable device. The company first introduced titanium to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
