The cryptocurrency market ends the month of December with a general drop in its capitalizationwhich fell 1.4%, reaching US$3.23 trillion.
This decline is a reflection of a trend observed in the last weeks of the year, when the market failed to maintain the positive momentum that prevailed at the beginning of 2024.
THE pessimism was palpableand the stabilization attempt failed, amid a climate of caution in the stock markets. Therefore, the month of December did not bring good news for investors, with only three top 10 cryptocurrencies recording growth.
Among the cryptocurrencies of top 10according to data from CoinGecko, three stood out with appreciation: BNB, XRP and TRON. Although the market has struggled, these coins have shown resilience.
Cryptocurrencies that rose in December
THE XRP was one of the big surprises of December, with a gain of 6.8% in the last 30 days, despite having suffered a loss of more than 20% in the last three weeks.
This movement appears to be a remnant of the strong momentum seen in November. The coin is now at a point of retraction technique, with the probability of buyers returning or an acceleration of the decline being practically the same. It is worth noting that XRP remains above its 50-day moving averagesuggesting there is still some optimism in the air.
THE TRONin turn, had a growth of 23.6% in the last month, a reflection of the increase between December 2nd and 4th. BNB found support after falling below its 50-day moving average before Christmas. That relative stability of BNB is remarkable at a time of so much volatility.
