Palestinian Fighter Becomes UFC Champion, Belal Muhammad Defeats Leon Edwards

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta New history was made in the UFC arena. Finally, a Palestinian fighter became the UFC champion after Belal Muhammad won over Leon Edwards. The two fought for the UFC welterweight championship at UFC 304, Sunday (7/28/2024).

The Muhammad vs. Edwards duel was the main attraction at UFC 3034 which was held at Co-Op Live, Manchester, England. The fight between the two was so fierce and tight.

Belal Muhammad appeared to dominate the fight. He was so troublesome for Leon Edwards from the start. However, Belal Muhammad was unable to take down his opponent quickly. The fight had to last until five rounds.

Finally, Belal Muhammad was declared the winner of the fight via decision. Belal Muhammad also made history as the first Palestinian fighter to win a championship belt in the UFC arena.

Belal Muhammad was actually born in Chicago, United States. However, both of his parents are from Palestine who moved to Uncle Sam’s country. Belal Muhammad has been known to often wave the Palestinian flag during fights.
