PBSI Highlights Zaki and Isyana/Rinjani’s Performance in the Semifinals of the 2024 Junior Badminton World Championship

Nanchang, Beritasatu.com – PBSI national training head coach who is also the team manager, Rionny Mainaky, highlighted the performances of Moh Zaki Ubaidillah and Isyana Syahira Media/Rinjani Kwinara Nastine in the semifinal round of the Junior Badminton World Championship, Saturday (12/10/2024).

“Ubed (Zaki) could be a little closer to winning the match, if only his anticipation could be more active. This is also experience for him on how to handle pressure, not only from the opponent but from the entire arena, the huge audience,” said Rionny, in his statement, Sunday (10/13/2024).

Rionny Mainaky regretted that Isyana/Rinjani lost points from serving. “Isyana/Rinjani from the initial focus must be added. They lost points on serve and receive several times. “This should not happen in an important match like the semifinals,” said Rionny.

Women’s singles coach Indra Widjaja spoke about Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari’s inconsistent performance.

Mutiara, he said, performed quite well in the team event but did not continue in the individual event.

“Indeed, in terms of appearance, Mutiara has not been consistent. There are good things, there are bad things. When the team plays, I might say it is quite extraordinary, but when the individual players don’t have enough control,” said Indra.

According to him, non-technical factors have a bigger influence. Strategically and technically it has been prepared, but because of the load, everything doesn’t come out when playing.

Indra further tried to encourage his foster child. He had spoken to Mutiara. At that time, he told Mutiara that she had to accept whatever the outcome was.

“This is indeed the last junior for him, but not the last for the future. “This is a pretty good stepping stone for him to get through the team and win as team captain, how to be responsible with his team even though in the end he wasn’t good as an individual,” said Indra.
