Pecco Bagnaia Excited to Conquer Silverstone Circuit Ahead of British MotoGP

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Ducati Lenovo factory racer Francesco Bagnaia admitted that he was excited ahead of the British Grand Prix (GP) series at the Silverstone Circuit this weekend.

Pecco, Francesco Bagnaia’s nickname, really likes the Silverstone circuit because it is one of his favorite tracks.

“I like the layout of the track, it’s one of the best, very long and very smooth, not too bumpy,” he said as quoted from the official MotoGP statement, Friday (2/8/2024).

Pecco hopes to continue the positive trend in the first half of this season at the iconic circuit. Moreover, in 2022, Pecco managed to become a champion at the Silverstone circuit.

“This season we will anticipate different weather conditions because usually it is not this hot, but I think I will enjoy it and I like the layout of this circuit,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ducati satellite racer, Gresini Racing Marc Marquez is confident of appearing competitive in the opening race of the second half of MotoGP 2024.

“Silverstone, as Pecco said, is a good circuit and let’s see, because I don’t want to say anything before, we start the race because these two riders are a little bit faster than us,” he explained.

The eight-time world champion used the summer break to gather more energy and prepare thoroughly.

“We just had a nice summer break. We had time to relax so we will try and start the second half of the season in a good way,” said Marquez.

The British MotoGP series starts today, Friday (2/8/2024), with free practice (FP) and regular practice sessions held at 16.45 WIB and 21.00 WIB respectively.

Next, on Saturday (3/8/2024), there will be an FP2 session, qualifications, and sprint race. These three sessions are held at 16.10 WIB, 16.50 WIB, and 21.00 WIB respectively.

Meanwhile, the main race (main race) will be held on Sunday (4/8/2024) at 20.30 WIB.
