Pegadaian Liga 2 Officially Rolls This Weekend, Bringing Together Persibo and Gresik United in the Opening Match

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Pegadaian is once again the main sponsor of Liga 2 for the 2024/2025 season. The opening match will be held on September 7, 2024, bringing together Persibo Bojonegoro and Gresik United. This season, the number of matches has increased by almost 20 percent, namely 291 matches with fewer teams than last year, namely 26 teams.

PSSI General Chairman Erick Thohir said that Pegadaian must make this competition more solid towards a clean football game.

This is the second time Pegadaian has become the main sponsor of the second tier of Indonesian football competition. Pegadaian also managed to record a net profit of IDR 2.9 trillion in the first semester of 2024 and grew when it became the main sponsor of League 2 for the 2024/2025 season.

Pegadaian President Director Damar Latri Setiawan said, Pegadaian Liga 2 2024-2025 not only brings blessings to Pegadaian and football players, but also to MSME players. It is recorded that around 7,000 MSMEs have entered the GadePreneur incubation, of which 1,053 have been curated.

“Pegadaian is very close to MSMEs, where there is a competition there are MSMEs. That way, the economy of the lower middle class also rotates. Pegadaian can also educate the public about the importance of saving gold,” said Damar.

On the same occasion, President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) Ferry Paulus also expressed his gratitude to Pegadaian for the cooperation that has been established.
