Pep Says Savinho’s Presence Makes His Team Sharper

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, believes that the presence of new winger, Sávio Moreira de Oliveira or Savinho, has increased the sharpness of his team’s attack line.

Quoted from Manchester City’s official website in Jakarta, Sunday (11/8/2024), Guardiola stated that Savinho’s impressive performance was seen in the Community Shield match against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium, London, on Saturday (10/8/2024).

“His presence has a positive impact on the team. He is able to play on both wings. When he plays on the left side, his quality is incredible, with great attacking ability from the wing,” said Guardiola.

In the Community Shield match, Savinho came on as a substitute in the second half. He came on in the 63rd minute to replace Jeremy Doku.

During his time on the pitch, Savinho showed his agility with quick movements and accurate passes. Not only that, the 20-year-old player is also adept at opening up space for his teammates.

A combination between Savinho and another young Man City winger, Oscar Bobb, produced a pass that Bernardo Silva used to score the equalizer to make it 1-1. Previously, Man City had fallen behind to a goal from Alejandro Garnacho.
