Persecution and Damage to Residents’ Houses in Kudus, 2 Persijap Jepara Supporters Arrested by Police

Kudus, Beritasatu.com – Two Persijap Jepara supporters were arrested by police for assaulting and damaging residents’ houses in Kudus, Central Java.

The two football fans assaulted and damaged residents’ houses in Kudus after watching Persijap Jepara’s match against Persipa Pati. Persijap Jepara supporters were arrested by the police after beating up residents until they were injured.

A convoy of Persijap Jepara supporters after the match against Persipa Pati at the Joyo Kusumo Pati Stadium, filled the Pantura route in Ngembal Kulon Village, Jati District, Kudus Regency, Central Java on Sunday (1/12/2024) evening.

By setting off flares and fireworks, the two supporters carried out anarchy and attacked residents in the village, residents’ houses and schools were also targets. As a result of this incident, a resident who was passing by became the victim of being beaten by violent supporters.

In the aftermath of the riot, two Persijap Jepara supporters, MR (23) and MA (23) have been named as suspects.

Kudus Police Chief AKBP Ronni Bonic said that the two suspects were proven to have carried out the abuse together by kicking the victim’s lying body. The police managed to secure a number of pieces of evidence from the perpetrator, one of which was a wooden block carried by the suspect.

“The Kudus Police looked for information so we succeeded in arresting the two perpetrators,” said the Kudus Police Chief, Saturday (7/12/20224).

Police are still investigating to find other suspects involved in the beating case. The motive for this case came from the suspect’s confession because he felt he was being watched by the victim so he was provoked by emotions and carried out a mob attack.

MA admitted that the victim initially raised his middle finger as he walked in the opposite direction. Because of this, he and other supporters became emotional. He admitted to kicking and hitting rocks at the victim.

“It was an emotional period, I kept beating the victim. At that time there were a lot of them, sir, more than 10. I was kicking my legs and throwing stones, sir,” explained one of the Persijap Jepara supporters who was arrested for abusing residents in Kudus.
