Persik Kediri Will Appear Without 4 Best Players When Facing Persis Solo

Kediri, Todaysgist.com – Persik Kediri is certain not to appear with its best players when facing Persis Solo in the continuation of the third week of the Liga 1 competition at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Monday (23/9/2024). Several mainstay players of the club nicknamed the White Tiger are certain to be absent.

Among the players who will be absent are Ousmane Fane who has been the main choice since the beginning of the League 1 competition. Fane must serve a suspension due to accumulation of yellow cards. In addition, Supriadi, Evan Dimas, and Majed Osman must also be absent due to injury.

“We lost players like Majed Osman, Evan Dimas, and Supriadi who are recovering from injuries. Ousmane Fane also could not attend due to card accumulation,” said Persik Kediri Coach Marcelo Rospide during a press conference ahead of the match, Sunday (22/9/2024).

Despite being without a number of key players, Marcelo asserted that his team remains committed to achieving maximum results. He stated that the absence of a number of players was due to the tight schedule of the Liga 1 competition.

“However, this condition does not affect the team’s motivation. We have quality players, so whoever is fielded is ready to play and achieve victory,” he explained.

Marcelo is satisfied with the ability of several players who can fill the roles left by their colleagues. In the last match, Supriadi performed well against Persita.

“Abiyoso who came on as a substitute also played well, as did Dede Sapari who had a good debut and added options in the back line,” he added.

Meanwhile, both teams will fight to steal points to occupy the top position in the temporary standings of Liga 1 2024-2025 season. Persik Kediri is currently in eighth place with eight points, while Persis Solo is in fifteenth place with three points.
