Police Chief Akhmad Wiyagus Confident West Java Will Win the 2024 Police Chief’s Cup, Here’s Why

Todays gist – West Java (Jabar) Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Akhmad Wiyagus admitted that he was very optimistic that the West Java Regional Police men’s and women’s volleyball teams could win the 2024 Kapolri Cup Zone 4 in 2024 compared to last year. According to Akhmad, in 2023 the West Java Regional Police were slower than other Regional Police in recruiting volleyball players who would compete.

“This time, the West Java Regional Police Traffic Director is more proactive in looking for athletes who, God willing, can bring the West Java Regional Police to the ranks of the national police force,” said Akhmad Wiyagus in his remarks at the West Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate Building, Tuesday (20/8/2024).

A similar thing was also stated by the elder volleyball activist in West Java, Dadi Saridji as the owner of the Perhutani/Tectona volleyball club. He said that the 2024 West Java Police men’s and women’s volleyball team was strengthened by athletes who were also being prepared for the 21st Aceh-North Sumatra PON 2024 which will be held on 8-20 September.

“Hopefully with the support of all of us, especially the West Java Regional Police Chief, we can achieve and of course it should be noted that this championship begins with a preliminary round for the four zones together with Central Java, DIY, and East Java,” said Dadi Saridji.

It is undeniable, added Dadi, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, August 21-24, 2024, the West Java Police volleyball team will compete against the strongest teams in Indonesia. However, he believes that the West Java Police team is able to show the best performance.

The 2024 Kapolri Cup volleyball tournament, zone 4 preliminary round will take place at the Pajajaran Sports Hall, Bandung, West Java, starting Wednesday (21/8/2024) to Saturday (24/8/2024).

There are four participating teams appearing in the Kapolri Cup zone 4, namely the host West Java, Central Java, the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), and East Java. Each region sends its men’s and women’s teams.
