Provocation between supporters colored the Arema vs. Persis match at the Soepriadi Stadium, Blitar City

Blitar, Beritasatu.com – Actions of mutual provocation between supporters colored the Arema vs Persis Solo match which was held at the Soepriadi Stadium, Blitar City, Thursday (12/12/2024).

The provocation began in the final minutes of the match. Two supporters who were actually in different stands were involved in mocking each other. Until finally the action continued outside the stadium.

When confirmed, the Head of Operations for the Blitar City Police, Commissioner Agus Tri, said that the police should not be in ring one but only in ring two or outside the stadium. So he didn’t know for sure what happened earlier in the stadium.

“Okay, so we as members of the National Police, our duty is in ring two, we are not allowed to enter ring one at all. Earlier there was an incident, perhaps due to mutual provocation between supporters, even though from last night until this morning we checked that visiting supporters were not allowed to come. It is possible that there were supporters earlier. “from Solo who were involved in mutual provocation with Arema supporters, resulting in a commotion,” said Police Commissioner Agus.

The feud between the two supporting teams was then successfully resolved. Supporters from Solo were then evacuated in police service vehicles.

“We dispersed, then we evacuated the supporters from Solo using official vehicles. We secured them and took them home safely,” he said.

He emphasized that although it got heated, there was no physical contact between the two supporters. “There is no physical contact between mutual provocations,” he stressed.

He added that it is estimated that 40 to 50 Persis Solo supporters were evacuated. He also emphasized that security for Arema FC’s home match in Blitar City involved around 496 joint personnel.

“There is a thickening because the opponents are from Solo. Even though the Persis Solo management has banned supporters from coming,” he said. For your information, the match between Arema vs Persis ended with a score of 1-1.
