PSS Sleman Officially Parted Ways with Danilo Alves in the Mid-Season Transfer Market

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Indonesian League 1 club, PSS Sleman, has officially ended cooperation with Brazilian foreign striker, Danilo Alves, in a mid-season transfer ahead of the start of the second round of League 1 2024/25.

The announcement was made via an upload on the club’s official Instagram account, @psslemanon Monday (6/1/2025). In the upload, PSS Sleman expressed its appreciation for Danilo’s contribution during the half season defending the Javanese Super Eagles.

“Even though our time is short, this is quite meaningful! Thank you for your contribution to PSS Sleman, @daniloalves99oficial. Good luck on your next journey!” wrote the club.

Danilo Alves responded to the farewell message with thanks and best wishes for PSS Sleman. “Thank You @pssleman! Good luck and success Ale!” he wrote.

Danilo is the second player released by PSS Sleman in the transfer market this half of the season. Previously, the club had also parted ways with striker from Papua, Ricky Ricardo Cawor.

This 33 year old striker joined PSS Sleman at the start of the 2024/25 Liga 1 season when the team was still coached by Wagner Lopes. However, his performance during the first round was less than satisfactory. From a total of 12 appearances with 851 minutes of playing time, Danilo only managed to score two goals and one assists.

Danilo Alves’ career started in Brazil. In his country, he played for several clubs from various castes. Before landing in Indonesia, he gathered international experience by playing in Albania, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Thailand for three seasons. In July 2024, Danilo decided to try a new challenge in Indonesia with PSS Sleman.

With Danilo’s departure in the mid-season transfer window, PSS Sleman now has space to bring in new players to strengthen their team in the second half of the season.
