PSSI Tangerang Askot is Optimistic that Patrick Kluivert will be able to make the Indonesian National Team’s dream of going to the World Cup come true

Tangerang, Beritasatu.com – Chairman of the PSSI Tangerang City Association (Askot) Sachrudin is optimistic that the new coach of the Indonesian National Team, Patrick Kluivert, will be able to realize Indonesia’s dream of going to the 2026 World Cup.

Sachrudin also invited all levels of society and supporters to think positively about Patrick Kluivert who replaced Shin Tae-yong.

“Hopefully we will qualify for the World Cup. We hope for big and positive pillars,” said Sachrudin, who is also the elected mayor of Tangerang, Friday (10/1/2025).

The change in new coaching for the Indonesian National Team does have pros and cons. However, Sachrudin believes that what PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir decided was solely for the good of Indonesian football.

“I have entrusted PSSI that the change of new coach has gone through a thorough evaluation, the aim is to make everything better. Anyway, we are just positive,” he said.

“Hopefully there will be a positive impact on both of us in our Indonesian football journey,” continued Sachrudin.

Therefore, Sachrudin hopes that with the new coach of the Indonesian National Team, Patrick Kluivert, PSSI will be able to introduce new seeds of sports athletes through early childhood and age group coaching in the future.

“So the players now are the result of training from (PSSI) who came from various regions 10 years earlier,” he said.

PSSI has announced and officially signed a contract with the new Indonesian national team coach Patrick Kluivert who replaced Shin Tae-yong.

Patrick Kluivert, the former Dutch national team star, is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on January 11 2025.
