PT LIB and Komdis PSSI Investigate Incident of 12 PSM Players in Match Against Barito Putera

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – PT Liga Indonesia Baru (PT LIB) is coordinating with the PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) to investigate the incident involving 12 PSM Makassar players on the field in the match against Barito Putera in the Indonesian League 1.

The incident took place at the Batakan Stadium, Balikpapan, in the 98th minute of the match. Based on video footage, the incident occurred when PSM made three substitutions at once in the 90+7 minute. However, one of the players who was supposed to be out was still on the field when three substitutes came on, so PSM played with 12 players.

PT LIB stated that it would collect all information and facts that occurred during the match to be submitted to the PSSI Komdis.

“We respect the ongoing investigation process and ensure that the decisions that will be taken are based on the rules and regulations that apply in BRI Liga 1,” said PT LIB Main Director Ferry Paulus in a written statement, Monday (23/12/2024) regarding PSM appearing with 12 players.

He added that all reports would be analyzed by the PSSI Komdis with reference to facts, official reports and applicable regulations, including laws of the gamedisciplinary code, as well as league regulations in matches when PSM appears with 12 players.

The match itself ended with PSM Makassar winning 3-2 over Barito Putera. With this result, PSM rose to fourth place in the standings with 27 points, while Barito Putera remained in 15th position with 11 points.
