Public Can Watch All Matches at PON 2024 for Free

Banda Aceh, Todaysgist.com – The Central Board (PB) of PON XXI Aceh-Sumut for the Aceh region announced that the people of Aceh can watch all sports matches held at PON Aceh-Sumut for free.

“All matches in all venue can be watched for free,” said the Spokesperson for PB PON XXI Aceh-Sumut Aceh Region, Saifullah Abdul Gani (SAG) in Banda Aceh, Monday (2/9/2024).

SAG invites the public watching the game to support the athletes in a friendly and orderly manner. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining order while on the field and avoiding excessive fanaticism towards a particular team, so that they can be good spectators.

He suggested that support be given proportionally, for example by simply applauding, so as not to cause a commotion among the other audience members.

“I am sure that the Acehnese people already understand the importance of maintaining friendliness in welcoming guests and tolerance,” he said.

SAG also added that some venue has limited capacity. Therefore, access to certain matches will be limited for the comfort and safety of spectators.

“For the safety of players and spectators, the capacity venue will be adjusted. For example, if the capacity is 500, it cannot be filled with 1,000 people because that is very bad,” he said.

He also informed that the opening ceremony on September 9, 2024 will be open to the public free of charge.

“There will be special arrangements for the opening ceremony, including special invitations. We also hope that there will be a joint viewing event in several areas in Banda Aceh,” concluded SAG.
