Rejecting Return to Old Trafford, Manchester United Legend Suffers Embarrassing Defeat

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta- Manchester United legend Robin van Persie is pursuing a new profession after retiring as a football player in 2019. Not wanting to waste time, Van Persie immediately took a coaching course after hanging up his boots with Feyenoord Rotterdam.

A year after retiring, Robin van Persie immediately became an assistant coach at Feyenoord. Van Persie then moved into a supporting role as a field coach in 2021 while also taking over the reins of Feyenoord’s U-16 team, where his son Shaqueel plays.

Van Persie also managed Feyenoord’s U-18 team until Heerenveen finally made the bold decision to appoint him as head coach in the summer of 2024.

Since retiring from playing, Van Persie’s relationship with MU has remained good. RvP often returns to Carrington to complete his coaching certification. The Dutchman even had time to handle MU striker Rasmus Hojlund to be sharper.

But Van Persie always refused to return to work at MU as a coaching staff. Even though MU manager Erik ten Hag was interested in using his services. Understandably, Ten Hag enjoys working with people from the Netherlands.

Currently Ten Hag is accompanied by three Dutch staff namely Mitchell van der Gaag, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Heke. But Van Persie is not interested in joining Ten Hag.
