Rivan Nurmulki joins the Japanese Nagoya Wolfdogs Club, teaming up with Nimir and Tine Urnaut

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Indonesian men’s volleyball star, Rivan Nurmulki, has joined the Wolfdogs Nagoya club to compete in the Japanese Volleyball League for the 2024/2025 season. This news was conveyed directly by Rivan’s manager, Wibi Anhari.

“Good luck to Rivan Nurmulki in the Japanese League 2024-2025 season,” wrote Wibi in post latest on Instagram, Wednesday (2/10/2024).

In the previous season’s competition, Wolfdogs Nagoya finished fifth in Liva Volleyball Japan. Wolfdogs Nagoya at that time was strengthened by one opposite the world’s best from Poland, Bartosz Kurek.

In the 2024/2025 season, squad Wolfdogs Nagoya is no less flashy. The club is strengthened outside hitter of Slovenian origin Tine Urnaut and opposite Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz.

Rivan’s position is the same as Nimir’s opposite, so it is possible that both of them will play alternately on the field.

Previously, Rivan also played in the Japanese Volleyball League for the VC Nagano Tridents club for two seasons (2021-2022). Apart from Rivan, Yolla Yuliana also plays in the Japanese Volleyball League, but for the second division. Another Indonesian volleyball athlete who is active abroad is Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi who plays for Red Sparks in the South Korean Volleyball League.
