Robert Lewandowski is a mainstay striker for Barcelona who was brought in from Bayern Munich for free at the start of last season. Robert Lewandowski is a Polish striker who was born on August 13, 1988 in the city of Warsaw.

The 34-year-old striker started his football career with local club Znicz Pruszkow in 2006. He managed to establish himself as one of Poland’s top strikers at the time by scoring 36 goals in 59 appearances in the Polish League third division competition.

After two consecutive seasons of impressive performances at Znics Pruszkow, Lewandowski then joined Polish League giants Lech Poznan in 2008. Together with Lech Poznan he managed to score 41 goals in 82 appearances.

Apart from showing impressive performances, with Lech Poznan he also won several achievements such as winning the Estraklasa League, winning the Polish Cup, and winning the Polish Super Cup.

After success in local competitions, Lewandowski’s appearance attracted several teams in the Bundesliga to secure his services as a goal-hungry striker, but in the end Lewandowski chose Borussia Dortmund as the next team he defended in the German League.
