Kudus Beritasatu.com – Scorpions Football Club succeeded in winning the 2024 Hydroplus Soccer League title after collecting 53 points in the Kudus women’s soccer league competition which is a continuation of the tournament for the elementary school (SD) age category.

“The women’s soccer tournament for the 14 age group (KU) was attended by 11 soccer schools (SSB) from various regions, such as Kudus, Rembang, Pati, Jepara, and surrounding areas,” said Djarum Foundation Sports Service Program Director Yoppy Rosimin in Kudus. , Sunday (8/12/2024).

A total of 11 SSBs participating were Laskar Jepara Putri, SKU Pink, Galaxinesia, Scorpions FC, Pedawang Women, Srikandi Kalirejo Undaan, Persig Gribig, Porma, SKU Orange, Women Putra Jaya, and Garkido GFC.

The 2024 Hydroplus Soccer League will last for 10 weeks and involve 275 players, with a full competition system. This competition is a continuation event for female players who previously competed in the 10 and 12 year old categories, so that they can continue to hone their football playing skills at a higher level.

According to Yoppy, the sustainability of this kind of competition is very important to maintain the growth of the women’s football ecosystem from the grassroots level. “The 2024 Hydroplus Soccer League was held as a step to produce talented female athletes who could be the future of Indonesian women’s football,” he added.

Hydroplus Soccer League Program Manager Edi Supriyanto explained that this league uses a full competition system with a home and away match format, as well as a 9 versus 9 game format. Matches are played on half a soccer field with a duration of 20 minutes per half, using a 4 size ball with a diameter of 63 .5-66 cm and weighs 0.33-0.36 kilograms.

“The enthusiasm of participants from Kudus and surrounding areas was very good. We hope that SSB in other cities will also open women’s soccer classes so that more talents can be honed. “This league is a motivation for female players to continue to develop,” he said.

Scorpions FC captain Yafika Rahma Indrayani feels proud to bring his team to become champions. “With a league like this, women’s football will be more advanced and can compete with men’s football,” said a class VII student at Mranggen Middle School who idolizes footballer Rafael Struick.

Meanwhile, Asyifa Sholawa Farizqi from SSB SKU Pink, who was the top scorer, said he was happy to be able to take part in this league as a continuation of MLSC. “This competition is very tight because the players’ abilities are almost equal. “Even though I’m only in second place, I’m optimistic that next year I can become champion,” said Asyifa after bringing her team to victory runner-up Hydroplus Soccer League 2024.
