SEA Games 2023: Rashif Amila Donates First Gold for Indonesia
Aquatlon athlete Rashif Amila Yaqin donated the first gold medal for Indonesia at the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia. He finished first in the men’s individual aquatlon competition at Kep Town Beach, Kep, Cambodia, Saturday (6/5/2023).
Rashif Amila finished first by beating 17 other participants. Rashif Amila Yaqin is ahead of Filipino athlete Andrew Kim Abay Remolino and Singaporean athlete Bry Sheng Cher Chong.
The athlete from West Java, who is familiarly called Ami, has been targeted for gold from the start.
The manager of the Indonesian Triathlon National Team, Dika Chrisna Irzandi, stated that Rashif Amia is a potential young athlete.
Apart from aquatlon, Rashif Amila is also relied on to achieve the best results in the men’s triathlon number.
In the men’s aquatlon number, another Indonesian representative, Aryandra Fauzi Maulidin, finished seventh.
The Indonesian team also won bronze in the women’s individual aquatlon through Dea Salsabila Putri.
