Sevilla’s Victory Costs Saul Niguez Injury

Madrid, Todaysgist.com – Sevilla’s 2-1 win over Valladolid in La Liga was paid for dearly by the injury to midfielder Saul Niguez, Wednesday (25/9/2024).

Midfielder Saul Ñíguez was carried off on a stretcher with a leg injury early in the second half of Sevilla’s match against Valladolid. It is not yet known how serious the injury is for the midfielder, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Chidera Ejuke scored the winning goal for Sevilla. It was Sevilla’s second win in their last three league matches.

David Torres scored an own goal in the final minute of the first half to give Sevilla a 1-0 lead.

However, Valladolid equalized through Kike Perez in the 56th minute. Sevilla had Ejuke to thank for scoring the winner in the 85th minute.

Sevilla were reduced to 10 men when the referee sent off Marcos do Nascimento Teixeira in the 90th minute.

Valladolid’s only win this season came in their league opener against Espanyol.

Meanwhile, hosts Valencia were held to a 0-0 draw by Osasuna. In La Liga, Osasuna have won two of their last three games.

In another match, Kylian Mbappe‘s goal-scoring tap continues to be open. He extended his goal record with his sixth goal in five matches. Most recently, in the Real Madrid vs Alaves match which ended 3-2 in the Spanish League, Wednesday (25/9/2024) early morning WIB, Mbappe scored one goal.
