Shin Tae-yong has a very Indonesian soul
Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The President’s Special Envoy for the Development of the Young Generation and Arts Workers, Raffi Ahmad, admitted that the Indonesian National Team coach, Shin Tae-yong, is half Indonesian, half Korean and his soul is very Indonesian.
Raffi mentioned this when he and Shin Tae-yong worked together to establish the STY Foundation. They held the launch of the project at the RANS Office, South Tangerang, Banten, on Monday (4/11/2024).
Raffi Ahmad admitted that initially Shin Tae-yong asked him directly to help him with the STY Foundation. The celebrity and boss of Rans Nusantara FC also agreed and now serves as an advisor.
He believes in Shin’s credibility and feels that the coach from South Korea (South Korea) has succeeded in improving the achievements of the Indonesian national team.
“A month ago, Shin Tae-yong talked to me, indeed Shin Tae-yong is half Indonesian, half Korean, his soul is very Indonesian. So there is one side that I salute Shin Tae-yong, not only does he think about the national team but he feels “I have the responsibility to produce young stars from all over Indonesia. That is a form of coach Shin Tae-yong’s concern for Indonesia,” said Raffi.
He also feels optimistic because Shin Tae-yong has proven that Indonesia has made an extraordinary rise in ranking. That is what makes Raffi confident that the STY Foundation will gain the trust of the public more quickly.
“Because if you want to make a foundation, you have to look at who the person behind it is, credible or not. I said yes because Shin Tae-yong has provided concrete evidence. He is now doing something concrete again, namely making a foundation. I am not 100% optimistic anymore but 1,000%,” Raffi explained.
Shin Tae-yong admitted that he had asked Raffi for help. “Actually, I see that there are still many shortcomings in the development of youth football in Indonesia. So I asked Raffi directly to give him help on how to make children’s football develop, how to improve the system, etc.,” said Shin.
Shin also explained that his vision was to convey to young Indonesians the correct system for playing football.
“So the first time I came here, I saw that programs for young children were still lacking and needed to be improved, so that’s why I thought of creating this program. However, I believe that there are many talented young soccer players in Indonesia,” concluded Shin Tae-yong.
