Silencing Jakarta Garuda, Bhayangkara Presisi Achieves First Victory

Gresik, Beritasatu.com – The Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi men’s volleyball team achieved their first win in the 2025 Proliga event, after beating Jakarta Garuda Jaya with a score of 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 35-33) at GOR Tri Dharma, Gresik, East Java, Saturday (11/1/2025).

Previously, squad Bhayangkara Presisi had to admit the superiority of Jakarta Lavani Livin Transmedia 1-3 in the opening match of the 2025 Proliga at GOR Jatidiri, Semarang (3/1/2025).

Facing a team strengthened by junior Indonesian national team players, Bhayangkara Presisi actually did not encounter any significant obstacles. However, in the third set they faced quite stiff resistance from Garuda Jaya. Leading several times match pointbut many times Jakarta Garuda was able to equalize the score.

Luckily, Reidel Toiran’s team was still able to end the match with a win. “Today we played trying to enjoy. But we also remain serious and want to win,” said Toiran after the match.

During the match, Bhayangkara’s main opponent from Iran, Saber Kazemi, was the top scorer with 17 points. He was followed by Farhan Halim who scored 16 points and Agil Angga Anggara with 14 points.

Meanwhile, Garuda Jaya coach Li Qiujiang gave almost all the players the opportunity to appear. Of the three sets completed, only setters Pajar Pamungkas whose position is irreplaceable. As a result, none of the Garuda Jaya players appeared dominant. Bagas Wijanarko, who did it top scorer team, scoring nine points.

Garuda Jaya also had to accept three defeats in three matches. Even so, the team prepared for the 2025 U-21 Men’s Volleyball World Championship continues to show improvement.

“The children have improved, only their fighting mentality needs to continue to be sharpened,” said Jakarta Garuda Jaya Assistant Coach Nurwidayanto.

Next, Garuda Jaya will face Lavani on Friday (17/1/2025) at GOR Ken Arok, Malang in the third week of the 2025 Proliga. Meanwhile, Bhayangkara will face Surabaya Samator on Saturday (18/1/2025).
