Singo Edan Complains of Short Preparations

Kediri, Beritasatu.com – The Persik vs Arema FC match in the continuation of League 1 will be held at the Brawijaya Stadium, Monday (16/12/2024). Arema FC coach Joel Cornelli complained about the short preparation time ahead of the East Java derby.

Even so, Joel said the players would always be ready for the match against host Persik Kediri. “We don’t have much preparation time. Time is very short. We focus on tactics and we are ready to play,” said Joel during a press conference ahead of the match against Persik, Sunday (15/12/2024).

Joel said that all the teams in the Indonesian League 1 are strong teams and have good players, including host Persik Kediri. According to him, the Persik Kediri coach from Brazil, Marcelo Rospide, is also considered to have brought the White Tiger club’s performance to a good level.

Coming to Kediri, Arema FC brought capital that was not that good. Singo Edan have not won in the two matches they have played previously.

They had to lose to Persebaya Surabaya with a narrow score of 2-3, then were held to a draw by Persis Solo with a score of 1-1. “We are ready to face Persik and I have respect for Persik Kediri. Our target is to get points so we can climb back to the top of the standings,” he concluded.

Arema FC must increase their points tally in order to stay in the top ten of the League 1 standings. Singo Edan is now in 8th position with 22 points. Meanwhile, host Persik Kediri is in 12th position with 18 points. With this position, the Persik vs Arema match will certainly be fierce.
