Song Il Kook Says His Jobs Have Been Slow Since Starring In The Return of Superman: I Got Zero Offers

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta A decade ago, Song Il Kook made many fans excited when he appeared with his triplets on a TV program. The Return of Superman. Now, he is back appearing with Daehan, Minguk, and Manse on the TV program You Quiz on the Block which aired on Wednesday (3/7/2024).

In one part, Yoo Jae Seok the host asked why he hadn't seen the Jumong star on TV for a long time.

“Song Il Kook, you haven’t appeared in any dramas since Jang Yeong-sil, which was released when you finished The Return of Superman,” Yoo Jae Suk said, as reported by SBS Star.

The answer Song Il Kook gave was surprising.

“I couldn't participate in the drama. I gained a lot of weight at that time,” he said.

He added, “There are reasons for that, but the main reason why I didn’t appear in the drama, is that I didn’t get any offers.”

The 52-year-old man also feels that the image of a father is now too attached to him.

“Maybe because the public strongly associates my image with my children. I don't get any offers, zero, even for public events. I think this is natural because my competitiveness as an actor is reduced,” he said again.
