Stamp Fairtex Proves Herself The Most Dangerous Athlete in MMA

– Former two-division World Champion, Stamp Fairtex has proven herself to be one of the most dangerous athletes in the women’s atomweight MMA division. She showed this by defeating Alyse Anderson at the One Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes II event on May 6 at the 1stBank Center arena in Denver, Colorado.

The striker from Thailand showed his ability to throw hard punches that managed to beat the grappler from the United States in their duel.

This Phuket, Thailand native fighter not only shows off his striking skills but also his improved grappling skills. Stamp used BJJ to escape her opponent’s submission, while using ground defense to thwart all of Anderson’s attempts to get into good position to take the lead.

Although Anderson did her best to pressure Stamp with her grappling, in the second half of the fight Stamp used her clinch skills to launch a combination knee and kick to end her competitor’s resistance.

Stamp revealed that there are still many of her opponents who underestimate her ability in grappling and ground fighting. In his interview on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, the Thai athlete warned fighters who will face him in the future to be careful when taking him to the canvas.

“I love it when someone tries to put me on the canvas because they think I can’t do anything when I’m there ground. This is a challenge for me to show them that I am capable and continue to hone my grappling technique,” ​​said Stamp.

The Fairtex Gym representative says that this is one of the reasons why he prefers MMA to the striking art that has made him a name. Stamp explains that although Muay Thai and kickboxing are the disciplines that made her name, she loves playing the complex mixed martial arts and needs to master several disciplines to be successful.

“Right now I really love MMA. I love fighting in MMA matches. Because to perform in this discipline, we have to understand BJJ and wrestling,” he said.
