Supporting the Indonesian National Team, the Manahan Public is Ready to Make Laos Players Mentally Shrink

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The public at the Manahan Stadium in Solo, Central Java, are ready to go all out to support the Indonesian National Team and discourage the Laotian players in the 2024 AFF Cup match, Thursday (12/12/2024).

Football fans in Solo and its surroundings will brighten up the stadium which was inaugurated in February 1998 and provide total support for Marselino Ferdinan and his friends. It is hoped that this support will raise the spirit of the Indonesian National Team and reduce the mentality of the opponents.

The enthusiasm of the Indonesian National Team supporters is shown in ticket sales. All tickets provided by the committee have been sold out. The seats at Manahan Stadium are expected to be filled with Garuda supporters.

This support is really needed by the Indonesian National Team to achieve victory so as to increase their chances of qualifying for the semifinals. Asnawi Mangkualam and his friends are currently in second place in the 2024 AFF Cup group B standings behind Vietnam.

The Indonesian national team managed to get maximum points after previously beating hosts Myanmar with a score of 1-0, Monday (9/12/2024). Vietnam is at the top of Group B because in their first match they beat Laos with a landslide score of 4-1. The team coached by Kim Sang-sik is superior on goal difference over the Indonesian national team.

Indonesian National Team Coach Shin Tae-yong (STY) hopes for support from supporters for his young players in the Indonesia vs Laos match later.

“In yesterday’s first match, our players were on average less than 20 years old. “So we want to ask the supporters to provide full support for young players to develop further during the Indonesia vs Laos match,” said Shin Tae-yong (STY) in a press conference session ahead of the Indonesia vs Laos match at Manahan Stadium, Wednesday. (11/12/2024).

STY is optimistic squad Garuda will be able to conquer Laos in Solo later. According to him, the players were still tired after playing the away match against Myanmar at Thuwunna Stadium, Yangon, last Monday (9/12/2024).

“The players are still tired after playing the away match in Myanmar. “However, we will try our best to be even better against Laos even though we only train for one day,” said STY.

To get around this condition, STY will adapt and try new tactics because from the player’s side there are not many options to replace each other.

“There are not many players who can be replaced so we will adapt and work as hard as possible in every match,” continued STY.
