Suwon FC releases 9 players for the 2025 season, including Pratama Arhan

Seoul, Beritasatu.com – South Korean League club Suwon FC announced the release of the Indonesian national team’s left wing-back, Pratama Arhan, for the 2025 season. Apart from Arhan, Suwon FC also released eight other players, including Lachlan Jackson and Eljon Sota.

“Goodbye Suwon FC players; Lachlan Jackson, Pratama Arhan, and Eljon Sota who will leave the team,” wrote Suwon FC on its official monitored Instagram account Beritasatu.comWednesday (1/1/2025).

The club expressed its appreciation to the players for their contribution. “The club will not forget the dedication the players have shown both on and off the pitch. Thank you,” he added.

Pratama Arhan joined Suwon FC in January 2024 on a one-year contract with an extension option. However, the 23 year old defender rarely gets the opportunity to play. Throughout the 2024 season, Pratama Arhan only appeared twice with a total playing time of four minutes.

Pratama Arhan’s career outside Indonesia has not gone smoothly since leaving PSIS Semarang in 2022. Before joining Suwon FC, he played for Japanese club Tokyo Verdy. During two seasons with Tokyo Verdy, Arhan only made four appearances.

This condition raises questions regarding the future of Pratama Arhan. Even though he faces tough challenges abroad, his experience in international competitions can be a valuable lesson for developing his career in the future.
