Todaysgist.com, Jakarta Fantom is an open source decentralized smart contract platform for DApps and digital assets created as an alternative to Ethereum.

Reporting from Coinmarketcap, Fantom aims to overcome the limitations of previous generation blockchains and balance three components, namely scalability, security and decentralization.

The project offers a set of tools to simplify the integration process of existing DApps, as well as a detailed reward system and built-in DeFi instruments. Fantom has its own crypto token called FTM Coin.

In trading Friday (17/5/2024) the FTM Coin crypto performed quite well. The following is the performance. Based on Coinmarketcap data, the price of FTM Coin is IDR 12,849 with a 24-hour trading volume of around IDR 8.7 trillion.

FTM strengthened 5.80 percent in the last 24 hours. The current market capitalization of FTM Coin is IDR 36 trillion. To date, there has been a circulating supply of around 2.7 billion FTM Coins out of a maximum supply of 3.1 billion FTM Coins.

The Fantom Foundation is the party that oversees FTM Coin's Initial Coin Offering (ICO). Fantom was originally created in 2018, but launched alongside Fantom's mainnet, OPERA, in December 2019.

Opera is Fantom's application development layer or mainnet deployment platform, open source and permissionless hosting DApps. Thanks to EVM integration and support for the Solidity programming language, Fantom has complete smart contract capabilities.

This allows users to interact seamlessly with the Ethereum platform while maintaining Fantom's transaction efficiency advantages.
