The Blues’ Goal Conceded 4 Goals

Indianapolis, Todaysgist.com – Chelsea suffered a heavy defeat in their second pre-season match in the US on Sunday (28/7/2024) WIB. In the match which took place at Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana, The Blues fell 1-4 to Celtic.

In the match, Chelsea were only able to score the only goal through a penalty in the 89th minute by Christopher Nkunku. Meanwhile, Celtic broke into Chelsea’s goal four times through Matt O’Riley in the 19th minute, Kyogo Ruruhashi (33), Luis Palma (76), and Michael Johnston (79).

This was the first defeat The Blues since being handled by their new coach, Enzo Maresca. In the first match of the pre-season Chelsea could only draw 2-2 with the 3rd division club Wrexham in Santa Clara.

The Italian coach hopes that this pre-season match will be a preparation to build the team’s condition ahead of the 2024/2025 competition.

Meanwhile, for Celtic, this is their second win in pre-season after last Tuesday, they won narrowly 4-3 against Premier League champions Manchester City.
