The Citizens Win 4-1, Haaland Scores 2 Goals

Manchester, Beritasatu.com – Manchester City destroyed West Ham United 4-1 in the Premier League, at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, Saturday (5/1/2025). The Citizens achieved their first consecutive wins since October. Two of the four goals in the Man City vs West Ham match were scored by Erling Haaland.

The defending champions are sixth in the Premier League standings with 34 points, 11 points behind leaders Liverpool who still have two games in hand.

The Hammers, who had just been beaten 0-5 by Liverpool six days earlier, were in 13th place with 23 points.

In the Man City vs West Ham match, the hosts scored a goal in the 10th minute when defender Vladimir Coufal scored an own goal when deflecting Savinho’s shot. Haaland scored his first goal in the 42nd minute when Savinho sent in a long cross which the big Norwegian headed home.

Haaland scored his second goal shortly after the break when Savinho sent a through ball which the 24-year-old casually tipped past goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

Phil Foden increased City’s lead in the 58th minute before Niclas Fullkrug reduced the deficit for the hosts in the Man City vs West Ham match.
