After being defeated by Bournemouth 0-2, Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by Liverpool at the Emirates. These results mean Arsenal are now in third place in the standings with 18 points from five matches, five points adrift of leaders Manchester City and four points from Liverpool.

A draw or loss has the potential to make Arsenal’s position in third place vulnerable to eviction because they are only superior in aggregate goals to Aston Villa.
