The Gunners in the Wind

Newcastle, Beritasatu.com – Arsenal is determined to return to their winning track when they visit Newcastle’s headquarters at St James Park in Week 10 of the 2024/2025 Premier League, Saturday (2/11/2024) at 19.30 WIB. This team from London can no longer waste points if they want to continue competing for the title.

After being defeated by Bournemouth 0-2, Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by Liverpool at the Emirates. These results mean Arsenal are now in third place in the standings with 18 points from five matches, five points adrift of leaders Manchester City and four points from Liverpool.

A draw or loss has the potential to make Arsenal’s position in third place vulnerable to eviction because they are only superior in aggregate goals to Aston Villa.

“We want to be first. We are in competition,” said coach Mikel Arteta in a press conference reported Football London.

Even though they are the favorites on paper, Arteta doesn’t want his team to be complacent. The reason is, Newcastle has the ambition to quench their thirst after being without a win in the last five matches in the Premier League. Newcastle’s revival was shown by beating Chelsea 2-0 in the League Cup.

“We know the tough challenges that exist and we will be ready for them,” said Arteta.

Estimated Lineup

Newcastle (4-3-3): Pope; Hall, Burn, Schar, Livramento; Joelinton, Guimaraes, Tonali; Barnes, Isak, Murphy.

Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Kiwior, Lintasa, White; Rice, Merino, Partey; Martinelli, Havertz, Saka.
