The controversy surrounding this film has become a topic of discussion on social media and the makers have claimed that the entire film is based on the story of how Hindu and Christian girls in Kerala were lured into the trap of love jihad and their Religion was converted. That’s why the film was banned in West Bengal, but now the ban has been lifted after the order of the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the producer of the film Vipul Amritlal Shah has made a big claim about it.
Film’s producer Vipul Shah said, Shreyas Talpade commented on Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film ‘Golmaal-5’ It is very shocking that despite the decision of the Supreme Court, the film has been illegally banned in Bengal. Theater owners are getting threatening calls from the police administration that if the booking window is opened then your theater will not be safe.
Vipul Shah further said, ‘It is a violation of the Supreme Court order that theater owners are not reacting openly to the threats they are receiving. They want to show this film, but they are not allowed. It is very wrong for this to happen after the decision of the Supreme Court.
The film ‘The Kerala Story’ is directed by Sudipto Sen. Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani are playing important roles in it. The film is doing good business at the box office and may soon cross the 200 crore mark.
