The plane had problems, 4 Japanese national team players finally arrived in Jakarta

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The arrival of the Japanese national team (timnas) to Jakarta, Indonesia was delayed due to technical problems with the plane they were traveling on. Previously, they were scheduled to arrive on Sunday (10/11/2024). A total of four Japanese national team players finally arrived in Jakarta, on Monday (11/11/2024).

The four players who have arrived are Yuto Nagatomo, Horike Sekine, Kosei Tani, and Kota Takai. They appeared to be wearing black suits. Other members of the Japanese national team followed because they were still strengthening their clubs in several countries.

“We want to win,” said Nagatomo to the media crew as he headed to the bus that had been prepared.

Apart from the four players, the Japanese national team coach, Hajime Moriyasu, has also arrived. When asked about preparations for the match with Indonesia, Hajime answered briefly, “I am really looking forward to the match,” said Hajime with a smile.

It was previously known that the plane carrying the Japanese national team players experienced a technical error. The plane that had taken off at Haneda Airport at 10.15 local time had to return to Japan.

The Japan Football Association (JFA) immediately arranged a change of plane to continue the journey. As a result, the Japanese national team players who were supposed to arrive at 16.15 WIB on Sunday (10/11/2024) were postponed and only arrived Monday (11/11/2024) at 01.35 WIB at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The Japanese national team will compete against host Indonesia in the 2026 World Cup Group C qualifying match in the Asian zone. Hajime Moriyasu’s team is scheduled to meet Indonesia, managed by Shin Tae-yong, on Friday (15/11/2024) at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta.
