“We still have great long-form video, great live video, and other formats that are popular in the Asia-Pacific region as well,” he said.

This social media giant also does not want to lose to TikTok, where many users are currently crazy about short video content.

“In general, short videos are more shareable and popular, especially among younger adults. With this in mind, we’re updating our video experience to match what people are looking for today,” he said.

This shows the commitment and uniqueness of the social media platform created by Mark Zuckerberg, which strives to provide various types of video content that can be enjoyed by all users.

The experience of browsing and connecting using videos on Facebook is said to be easier and more interesting.

Tom explained that the level of user consumption related to video content on Facebook and Instagram reached more than 60 percent of their total digital activity time. Of that total, videos in the Reels format remain the main driver of this growth.
